This manual process is slow, prone to human error, and creates friction. This delays critical cost-saving decisions, and may affect global enterprise strategic decisions.

1. Enhanced Detailed Search and Hierarchical Filtering

To help analysts navigate dense organizational structures without losing their bearings, the Radar page visualizes cost structures as hierarchically nested, interactive blocks. Intuitive navigation is based on:

  • Multi-Cloud Filtering: At the top right, users can instantly isolate cloud spend by toggling AWS, Azure, GCP, or Other providers with a single click.
  • Intelligent Auto-Complete: The central navigation field allows users to search by specific business units, departments, or project names, instantly re-rendering the visual grid to match the query.
  • Dynamic Drilling: Users can click directly on nested cost tiles to seamlessly dive deeper into the infrastructure hierarchy.

2. Secure, Wizard-Driven Dashboard Sharing

Collaborative investigation often requires bringing in external stakeholders, project managers or other teams. This is simplified through the Manage Access / Share View wizard, fully backed by Maestro's hybrid RBAC model:

  • Time-Bound Access: When sharing a Radar dashboard, the owner provides the recipient’s email and specifies an expiration time in days (e.g., establishing a temporary audit view for 30 days).
  • Secure Delivery: The recipient receives a read-only, secure view, ensuring that shared visibility doesn't compromise platform governance or access boundaries.

3. Context-Aware Commenting

Building on our commitment to team-centric FinOps, we created comments that are tied directly to specific visual cost elements.

  • Contextual Tagging: Users can add comments from contextual menu of specific cost blocks. This anchors the discussion exactly where the spend occurs, and focuses other team members directly on the subject.
  • Severity Classification: Users can flag their comments with custom severity levels: Info, Warning, or Critical. This ensures that the users can identify different types of ideas and anomalies just with a glance.
