Updates Jam: Web UI


We continue to polish our Maestro solution to ensure the quality of our services and meet our users' expectations.

Below you can see the improvements implemented in Maestro Web Application:
  • Maestro Reporting functionality has been enlarged due to implementation of analytic and cost optimization reports:
    • Monthly Analytic Optimization report - sent at the end of each month and provides analytics as well as recommendations on project cost optimization.
    • Low Instance Utilization report - informs about instances with low utilization parameters and contains recommendations on instance usage optimization.
    • Cloud Radar report - illustrates the activity of the cloud infrastructure for a given period of time, and contains general cloud utilization statistics and cloud chargeback trend diagram.
  • Maestro Security section includes now the Nessus security scan, providing the possibility to identify vulnerabilities on your selected projects depending on policies. Nessus security service works on public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • With this release, we have started to integrate Maestro with Yandex Cloud Provider. As for now, a limited number of functions is available - management, metrics, schedules. The integration is still in progress, and with the following releases, we will introduce more features. 

  • The Maestro "Help" sections are updated and include the description of recently implemented features.
Our improvements from the Developers side:
  • Code-style best-practices are implemented and code is prepared for the external audit.
  • Resources are migrated from AWS-Syndicate build_meta.json to AWS Cloud Formation templates.
  • Refactor build jobs for Native applications to pipeline are implemented.

Maestro: Greeting the Green Dragon

The year is coming to the end, and it's high time for our traditional lookback on Maestro evolution, changes, and important events. The year of 2023 has been dynamic and full of updates, both technical and strategic.  We kept to our previous commitments , meanwhile adjusting to the new trends in Cloud and technologies in general.  We met our user's expectation and need for  cross-cloud FinOps, automated infrastructure analytics, security assessment and the "Fix it" button , aimed to simplify issues remediation. Maestro Orchestrator: Product? SaaS? Framework!

In 2012, EPAM Cloud Orchestrator was created as a cloud solution for the EPAM Systems community.
